Official Call Mass Meeting

You must be a legal and qualified voter of Dinwiddie County.  Voting will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The winner will be announced at 8:15 pm.  We will have a brief meeting from 8:15 pm to 8:45 pm.

Mass Meeting of the Dinwiddie County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia

As Chairman of the Dinwiddie County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of

Virginia and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by

the Unit Committee, I, Gary Sheehan, do hereby issue this Call for a Mass Meeting to

be held at Brothers Pizza, starting at 6:00 PM, on March 16 th 2026 for the following

purposes:

a) Electing a Unit Chair

Qualifications for Participation

All citizens of the United States who are legal and qualified voters of Dinwiddie County

under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national

origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party, and who, if

requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required their

intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election may

participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party

canvasses, conventions, or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Registration Fee

There will be no registration fee to participate in the Mass Meeting.

Candidate Filing Requirements

Candidates for Chairman must declare their candidacy in writing using the attached

official pre-filing form, accompanied by a non-refundable filing fee of $40, which must be

received no later than 7:00 PM on Wednesday March 11 th by Mail to Dinwiddie

Republican Committee, 24620 Smith Grove Rd, North Dinwiddie VA 23803

Voting

Election of Chairman shall be by traditional voting with each voter casting one vote for

one candidate. The person with the most votes is elected

Cancellation Provisions

If the number of persons filing as candidates for election or nomination does not exceed

the number to be elected or nominated for a particular office, those persons shall be

declared elected or nominated.

If the number of persons filing as candidates for election or nomination for all offices

does not exceed the number to be elected or nominated, the Mass Meeting will be

cancelled.
